What exactly does HideCOD do?+
It checks email and phone before the order is completed and applies the COD rule you selected. If relevant history exists, it can allow Cash on Delivery, request a review or hide it.
Does it block card payments too?+
No. HideCOD only affects Cash on Delivery. Online payments and other payment methods remain available.
What does a HideCOD network signal mean?+
It means there is an active COD incident recorded in the HideCOD network. The system does not reveal which other e-shop recorded it. You decide whether the signal leads to block, manual review or ignore.
What happens if HideCOD is temporarily unavailable?+
The WooCommerce integration is fail-open: checkout continues normally and Cash on Delivery is not removed just because HideCOD is temporarily unable to respond.
How is it installed on WooCommerce?+
With the HideCOD plugin for WordPress/WooCommerce. Once the store is connected, checks run automatically inside the checkout flow.
Can I use one account for multiple e-shops?+
Yes. Starter covers 1 store, while Business covers up to 5 stores under the same subscription, with separate settings for each shop.
How is personal data protected and what about GDPR?+
HideCOD is designed with a privacy-by-design approach. Email and phone are protected at rest, searches use secure lookup keys, and a network signal does not reveal which other e-shop recorded the incident. Each merchant’s compliance also depends on its own privacy policy and lawful basis for processing.
