Acceptance of the Terms
By creating an account, activating a trial, purchasing a subscription or connecting a store to HideCOD, the user accepts these Terms.
The service is intended for businesses and professionals, not consumers for personal use.
Legal terms
These Terms govern access to and use of HideCOD by businesses and professionals operating e-commerce stores.
By creating an account, activating a trial, purchasing a subscription or connecting a store to HideCOD, the user accepts these Terms.
The service is intended for businesses and professionals, not consumers for personal use.
HideCOD is Cash on Delivery risk-management software that can check email and phone at checkout, detect relevant history and apply rules configured by the merchant.
The service may display states such as Allowed, Review required or Blocked. These states are operational decision-support tools and are not findings of fraud, credit assessments or legal characterizations of an individual.
Each subscription is linked to one HideCOD account. The number of active stores depends on the selected plan.
Each active store must have its own authorized HideCOD connection and may use separate settings. Users may not bypass technical limits, share connection credentials with unauthorized stores or attempt to exceed plan limits.
Where offered, HideCOD may provide a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method may be requested when the trial is activated.
Where stated at checkout, after the trial ends the subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly subscription unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Current prices and plan features are shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing period until cancelled.
The user may cancel before the next renewal. Access may remain active until the end of the already-paid period unless otherwise stated during cancellation.
No prorated refund is provided for an already-charged period unless required by applicable law or otherwise decided by HideCOD.
The merchant must:
An incident must relate to a genuine non-collection of a Cash on Delivery order. It must not be used for general comments, customer labels or unrelated reasons.
False, misleading or arbitrary incidents are prohibited. HideCOD may remove data, restrict functionality or suspend an account in cases of misuse.
HideCOD may use signals from the shared network of connected stores. These signals are provided to give early notice of relevant Cash on Delivery risk.
A merchant has no right to learn which other store recorded an incident and may not attempt to identify or disclose the source of a signal.
The merchant chooses the behavior available in settings for incidents from its own store and from the HideCOD network.
If automatic blocking is selected, Cash on Delivery may not be shown to the customer. The merchant is responsible for configuring its rules and determining their suitability for its own business.
Reasonable efforts are made to provide a stable and secure service, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, technical failures, third-party providers or force-majeure events may temporarily affect the service.
The WooCommerce integration is designed with fail-open behavior so that a temporary inability to complete a HideCOD check does not by itself block checkout.
The software, HideCOD brand, design, content, connection mechanisms and related intellectual property rights remain with the provider or relevant rights holders. A subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service while the account remains active and compliant with these Terms.
HideCOD is a decision-support tool and does not guarantee that every allowed order will be collected or that every risk incident will be detected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HideCOD is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from merchant business decisions, non-collections, lost profit or interruption of third-party services.
HideCOD may restrict or suspend access in cases of serious breach of these Terms, non-payment, network abuse, security risk or unlawful use.
When a subscription ends, features requiring an active plan may be disabled. Data handling after termination follows the Privacy Policy and applicable retention obligations.
These Terms may be updated when the service, plans or legal framework changes. The new version will show an updated date and material changes may be communicated before they take effect.
These Terms are governed by applicable Greek law, subject to any mandatory rules that prevail. Any dispute will first be addressed in good faith and, if unresolved, will fall within the jurisdiction of the competent courts under applicable law.
